the world of "Trash Monsters"!
"Trash Monsters" is an educational single-player game about sorting trash. Players are invited to visit planet Afa-X, and assist its curious inhabitants – friendly monsters responsible for disposing of all the trash humans produce. Throughout more than 5 hours of adventures and games, players experiment with the environmental and societal issues of waste management and acquire an intuitive understanding of how to sort trash in everyday life.
Primarily designed for children between 8 and 12, the game’s various layers of meaning and increasing complexity over time are made to appeal to adults as well. A rich, lively world awaits players – a world full of endearing characters, surprising stories - and love!
As an edutainment game, Trash Monsters was made to teach through entertainment, not instead of it. In this way, teaching is not a goal, but a side-effect of a carefully crafted, symbolic yet realistic game world, in which players learn without noticing.
At the core of Trash Monsters lies therefore the belief that anything can be taught to anyone, with enough care, understanding and sympathy.
